Languedoc Market

Created in 1223 by King Louis VIII, father of Saint-Louis, the site of the weekly marketplace of Bagnols has not changed. On every Wednesday of the year, more than 100 storekeepers set up their stalls in the ancient marketplace with its arches which has now become Auguste-Mallet square, open for the great enjoyment of those passing by. Fruits and vegetables produced by local farms, plants and flowers, artisan crafts from the four corners of the world, regional specialties (olives, sausages,

Provencal fabrics, candied fruits, herbs and spices), so many colors, scents and atmospheres - all turn this weekly meeting into a cordial occasion for the inhabitants of the region and vacationers in search of authenticity.
